Training

The Emergency Management Unit provides instructor-led trainings on a variety of preparedness topics and hazards. These trainings have been carefully developed to aid the LMU community in preparing for emergencies given their specific role on campus.

LAPD and LAFD active shooter demo

In light of events around the country and heightened awareness regarding active threats on campus, the LMU community is invited to attend an active shooter demo put on by LAPD and LAFD. The demo will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Two sessions will be offered to students, faculty and staff. To participate you must sign up as space is limited. Registration will begin on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 8:00 am. You can register for a session through one of the links below.

The Emergency Management Unit conducts a series of exercises and drills every semester. If your office or department would like to have an exercise or drill that is specific to your facility, we can tailor the content to fit your specific needs and facilitate an exercise or drill for your area.
