LMU Alert is an emergency notification system that allows LMU to contact you during an emergency by sending messages via text, email, and/or automated phone calls.

LMU Alert may also utilize a public address system to provide information to on-campus learning spaces and offices.

If you are a member of the LMU community, please follow the instructions in the applicable accordion below to register for LMU Alert and maintain your LMU Alert contact information. 

  • To promote safety and security, all registered LMU students are required to provide contact information for LMU Alert. Students will be required to update or confirm your LMU Alert contact information annually. To avoid a registration hold in the future, students can update or confirm contact information each year prior to Fall registration.

    Follow these steps to add, update, and/or confirm your LMU Alert contact information:

    1. Sign into PROWL.
    2. Click on "Personal Information."
    3. Click on "View / Update LMU Alert Contact Information."
    4. Click on "Update Data."
    5. Complete the LMU Alert form and click on "Update Data", or review your LMU Alert contact information and click "Confirm" if no changes are needed.

    How to Enter International Phone Numbers

    Enter a plus sign (+) followed by the country code (and any special codes required by the country), followed by the number (with no punctuation or spaces other than the plus sign). For example, for a number where the country code is 44 (England), the number is outside London (1), the exchange is 173, and 123555 is the individual number: +440173123555

  • LMU Faculty and Staff are encouraged to provide your phone number(s) and your email address(es) to receive important information and instructions during a campus or area-wide incident or emergency.

    1. If you are full-time or part-time faculty or staff, log into LMU's Employee Self Service to add, confirm, or change your LMU Alert contact information.
    2. Under the main menu, click "Employee Self Service".
    3. With the Employee Self Service menu expanded, select LMU Alert.
    4. To make changes, click "Update", and enter your contact information.
    5. Click "Apply" in the bottom-right corner, click "Next", then click "Submit".
  • To receive LMU Alerts, access important emergency and safety information, and contact the LMU Department of Public Safety, parents of LMU students are encouraged to text "LMUlions" to 226-787 to receive text message alerts on your mobile device.

    You will automatically be registered, and may opt out at any time. 

  • Parents and guardians for those enrolled in the LMU Children's Center are asked to provide your phone number(s) and your email address(es) to receive important information and instructions during a campus or area-wide incident or emergency.

    1. Enroll by completing the LMU Alert Children's Center Registration Form.
    2. Your request will be verified by the Children's Center via email or phone within two business of online registration.

    Register for LMU Emergency Alerts

    All LMU parents may register for LMU Alerts by texting the code "LMUlions" to 226-787. You will automatically be registered to receive LMU Alerts on your mobile device, and may opt out at any time.

  • To receive LMU Alerts, access important emergency and safety information, and contact the LMU Department of Public Safety, members of LMU's religious communities who are regularly on the LMU campus are encouraged to text "LMUlions" to 226-787 to receive text message alerts on your mobile device.

    You will automatically be registered, and may opt out at any time. 

  • To receive LMU Alerts, access important emergency and safety information, and contact the LMU Department of Public Safety, contractors and vendors who are regularly on the LMU campus are encouraged to text "LMUlions" to 226-787 to receive text message alerts on your mobile device. You will automatically be registered, and may opt out at any time. 

  • LMU Alert es un sistema de notificación de emergencia que le permite a LMU a contactar a miembros de la comunidad de LMU durante una emergencia mediante el envío de mensajes de texto, correo electrónico y / o llamadas telefónicas automatizadas.

    LMU Alert también puede utilizar un sistema de megafonía para proporcionar información a oficinas y espacios de aprendizaje en el campus.
